"weekly update" 9/8/11
I have started to write something here a few times lately and just haven’t got it done. We have still been sending out our regular email updates but I just haven’t made myself get on here for the weekly updates. Sorry for the lack of communication in this.
We have settled into a pretty workable schedule here in Dagupan. Our tagalog skills were not where they needed to be so we have set up a schedule where we both can get 2-3 hours a day 5 days a week studying language. Trying to concentrate and focus on language while dealing with Sam, isn’t very productive so we have a schedule set up where I (Jeff) watch sam in the morning while Heather locks herself away and studies, and then we reverse the rolls for the afternoon. It ties both of us up for the whole day but at least we both get some concentrated study time.
I am also involved in a photography club here locally that has given me opportunities to stretch my Tagalog as well as forming friendships that I hope will lead to evangelism opportunities later.
