Weekly update 8/12/09

Well, after a boring week we had a productive but not so relaxing week.

Last week we spent a few hours on Tuesday and several hours on Thursday getting Heather a Filipino Drivers license. Up to this point we have not worried about it, but Heather is getting more comfortable with the way traffic works here and so we decided it was time to get her a license so she can drive herself places. As with everything it took a good deal of time but we got it done.

We did visit Immigration on Monday and all we got was a “check back in 2 weeks and we might be able to tell you when your paperwork will go to the commission to be voted on." So, still waiting for Sam’s visa. Please keep praying for this. We started the process as soon as we could but we are starting to get concerned about getting it finished before we have to go to Hong Kong for a conference in November.

The rest of this week we will be preparing for a two week trip. First we will head up to Dagupan to do some research, and then further north to a town in the mountains so we can take a little vacation from the heat and smog of Manila and do some yearly planning. This planning will include reviewing out support schedule in light of what we find out about housing in Dagupan. Please pray for wisdom and guidance for this trip as well as safety.
