Weekly update 7/28/09
Sorry there was no update last week but things got pretty crazy and I just didn't get it done. There were several things that happened. One was really important and one was really time consuming.
The important one happened Monday. We had waited for immigration to send us a letter for two months and had not heard anything so we decided I should go and check when Sam’s interview was. When I got there they said his interview was scheduled for Thursday, but since I was already there they would let me do it right then. It was great to get it done early and without Heather and Sam having to go at all. Now we just wait for a few more weeks while it gets final approval from the board. Then we go back and get his visa and start trying to get his I card fixed. It seems like immigration stuff will never end, but I keep telling myself, “ They didn't ask me to come here. Ii’s not there job to make it easy for me to stay. Please keep praying as we continue to work through immigration issues.
Now, the time consuming event. We have had more termites move in again so on Wednesday the land lady had the exterminators come and spray. of course Heather and Sam had to be out of the house for most of the day and I had to stay there and move all the furniture around so they could spray all the baseboards and all the crown molding.
When they were done the house stunk and was a big mess. Finally with some help from some friends everything was cleaned back up by Thursday afternoon which was good, because we had guests coming for dinner Friday night.
So this week we are really hoping for a boring week. Please keep praying for our language studies. Last weeks events messed up that to.
