Wow I just realized how long last weeks update was. I’ll try to be shorter this time.
We got Sam’s passport and birth cert yesterday, so we went and applied for His SS # Today. Then we found out that we were wrong about Dual Citizenship, and Sam is not allowed to have it. We are disappointed about this but that is just life. Tomorrow we will be going to immigration to add Sam to our missionary visa and pay the penalty because he has been in the country without a visa for 5 months now. Even though he couldn’t get a visa until he had a U.S. Passport.
We got the passport as fast as we could but the immigration will fine us from the day he was born till the day we get his visa or that is how we understand it. Please pray for us as we go tomorrow to immigration to take care of this. The worst case is that we cannot get the visa without taking him out of the country and coming back in with him which means we will have to take a day trip to Hong Kong and come back in to get an entry stamp in His passport. It is all very confusing and we will not know for sure until tomorrow. Please be praying for this on your Wednesday night. Thank you.
