Carrying a burden.

weekly update 1/21/11

Studying, Packing, and prepping paperwork and praying.

I am working on an Evangelistic Bible Study that I hope to use in future ministry.  I have been making extra office time to get it done, since I really want to use it soon in Dagupan.  It is progressing and I am excited about it.  I still have miles to go before it is finished but I'm enjoying the work.  Please pray that God will lead me as I seek to make this a useful tool in evangelism.

Packing.  Does anybody enjoy packing??? I want to move to Dagpan but what I really want to do is just "be" in Dagupan.  Our move date is still a little fluid and a ways off but we figure we need to start working on it as much as we can so we are trying to pack up things we think we can do without between now and then.  Of course you know the day after I packed one box I needed something in it and had to tear it apart to get something out.  OH well that's life.  Please be praying for us as we continue to make decisions about moving and such.  We will eventually need to pick somebody to load all our worldly possessions and drive them to another location for us.  Important choice when theft is a major problem in this county.

Prepping Paperwork...  Does anybody besides me remember last years Visa Renewal Saga...  Well its time to start another one.  I am getting all the forms filled up and supporting documentation ready.  I had an idea so I am putting some extra time into some of it this year hoping that next time filling up the forms will be quicker and easier. Except I'm not sure some of my ideas will be acceptable so I am making 3 different copies of alot of the paperwork this time incase some of my new ideas dont work I have the old way ready too.  Its time consuming but hopefully it will pay time dividends next time and for anybody who joins us in the future.   This year we are not in a rush for our visa renewal so hopefully it will go a little smoother.  Please start praying for us as we are about to start a process that is never fun.

One of the Tricycle drivers I used to play Basketball with has approached my friend Dan Tessin about salvation.  He also knows Dan and I guess felt more comfortable asking him instead of me but all I really care about is that he is asking.  I have been praying for him to understand and see the truth of Salvation.   Please be praying for Rico.
