This past week was for the most part a very normal and except for 2 deviations it was really a pretty boring week. So I will tell you about the 2 exciting events. Sunday I (Jeff) was preaching at Cross and Crown Baptist Church and for unknown reasons I kinda departed from the text but kept talking as if my topic was in the text we were looking at. Eventually I caught it and apologized. For those of you who do not preach this might sound boring but when you are up there preaching and realize that what you have just said is in a particular verse is not really there at all it can be a very exciting event indeed. OOPS. That was a relatively mentally exciting event. The other was a more physical excitement. I was stuck in traffic when about 150 yards ahead of me men attempted to rob an armored van. I actually didn’t get to see what was going on because of a bus that was in my way but when lots of police and sway ran past with handguns and automatic rifles I figured something was up. Then when I heard shots being fired traffic guards started making all of us turn around and go the other way. Later I drove past and there was definite evidence of a shooting all over the road. Kinda weird to be in the middle of and yet not really get to see what happened. It did remind me that life is kinda different here. Please keep praying for our safety
