Update

Hello Friends,
Well we have been back from the Philippines for quite some time now. This weekend we will be sharing our ministry with Hessville Bible Church in Hammond IN. Thank you for your prayers while we drive and present our ministry. I am attaching the text from our last e-mail update hoping that it will get you caught up on what we are doing. Thanks again for your prayers.
Jeff.

Dear praying friends,

Thank you all for your prayers this past month. Looking back it was a relatively uneventful month. Rather an odd experience for us. Not uneventful meaning nothing to do, just uneventful in no problems or excitements. We did have one missions conference this past month and it went as all have so far. It was a wonderful time of sharing our burden for the Philippines with others. As I look back and remember a conversation with a friend once about going to missions conferences he asked me a question. Where are you going to stay while you are there? I told him that we would be staying with a family in the church. To this he replied, “oh, then you know somebody there.” I told him that we knew nobody yet, but that we would be spending a couple of days staying in the home of someone who was previously a perfect stranger. He commented that he did not think he could do that. We have found that missions conferences have been one of the most enjoyable things we do right now, because we actually get to spend time getting to know the church and build friendships with the people of the church, especially the people we stay with. Please pray for us as we continue to build these relationships which will be the backbone of our prayer and financial support.

We have been trying a new approach to contacting churches. Our new method does not seem to be producing a lot more meetings, but it is taking less time and material. All in all it appears to be a more efficient use of the time and resources God gives us. Please keep praying for us as we call churches and send out info. If you think of it, Wednesday is the day I try to make most of my calls. Please pray for me. Both that the calls will be effective and that I will be diligent about making them. Making cold calls is never fun no matter the reason.

On a personal note, Heather did enjoy a weekend retreat with her sister and mother this past month. Since it was a women’s retreat I (Jeff) didn’t go. I stayed home and was a bachelor for a few days. I survived just fine because she left me with plenty of clean laundry to hold me over till she came back.

This month holds two meetings on Sundays. One is in northern Indiana and the other is in Illinois. Please remember to pray for not only our support level, but also to team members to work with us.

Striving to glorify God,
Jeff and Heather Stutzman
