weekly update 11-12-08
Visa Status:Applied for and waiting for contact from Immigration…
Baby Status:
Healthy and bouncing around in Heathers belly. Final ultrasound scheduled for next Saturday.
Language School Status:
Continuing to have Bible studies with our teacher. Please keep praying for this. Last week our teacher was not able to be at class on the day we have Bible Study so we missed last week but tomorrow we are scheduled to have another.
Sorry for the lack of an update last week. Just had other things to do. After our vacation we settled back into the routine. The time of year combined with a tropical storm sitting in the South China Sea has kept the weather pretty cool this week. We have been continuing with our regular activities as well as preparing for the baby’s approaching arrival. Thank you all for your prayers.

Weekly update 10-29-08
Visa Status:
Applied for and waiting for contact from Immigration…
Baby Status:
Healthy and bouncing around in Heathers belly.
Language School Status:
No change.
This past weekend we took a great little trip to a neighboring island. Heather and I had been here for 6 months and had yet to be out of the city of Manila, so we decided it was time for a short break. On Friday morning we drove down to a smaller port south of Metro Manila and took a “RoRo” (roll on / roll off) ferry boat to the Island of Mindoro. We stayed at a place that was recommended by someone we had met. There were two beaches right close to each other. One was a definite party beach, and one was a very quiet family beach. Our hotel was on the quiet beach and there was a restaurant that would bring you food out to you beach chair. So basically we did nothing but eat, sleep, talk, read, and play in the water. It was a much needed and enjoyed break for both of us.

Weekly update 10/22/08
Visa Update:
We have now received all the supporting documentation we needed from the States and on Friday we filed for our 9g missionary visas. The process is not finished but we have at least started it with immigration now. The next step that we are aware of is that we will be contacted by mail and told when to appear for an interview. Please keep praying for this process. Once again we have done all we can and it is now up to others.
Baby Update:
Another scheduled doctor’s visit and all appears healthy. Sometimes in the evening we look at Heathers belly and try to decide which part of our baby is poking up this time.
Language School Update:
We have had our first Bible study with one of our teachers and she was very interested and receptive. Please keep praying for us as we continue to have weekly Bible Studies with her and hope that God will use us to show her the truth about salvation.
This weekend we are taking a long weekend getaway to a neighboring island to relax and get out of the crowds and pollution of Manila for a little bit. Thank you all for your prayers.
