Immigration update 12/23/09
Visa renewal is started.
Well our lives seem to revolve around government requirements. Our visa expires Feb 6th. And with it our I cards expire so we have to get the visa renewed and then the I cards renewed before we leave for the states the first of April. So last week we began working on gathering the requirements for renewal. We were able to acquire some of them and took what we had to immigration to ask questions. When we got there the guy at the info desk actually remembered us and remembered we had a son. It was nice that he remembered us but made us feel like we might have spent more time at immigration than we want to. Anyhow, he was helpful and helped us figure out exactly what all we needed and when to submit all our paperwork. We are going to wait till the first week of the year to submit. This gives us a week or two to get the last few details finished up on the paperwork before submitting it. The renewal does seem much easier and quicker than applying originally. Please remember to be praying for our immigration stuff.
Sam update. We love Sam and he has been a joy but lately he started getting very vocal about demanding his way. We have had a few hard sessions with him and expect more before this is solved. Please pray with us as we seek to discipline him properly.
One more natural disaster update. If you have been hearing about the imminent eruption of Mayon Volcano here in the Philippines, it is about 250 miles south of us. It is still on this island but it is way south of us. Even in a major eruption we should feel basically no results. Thank you for your prayers but when praying for this area please pray for the safety of the hundreds of thousands of people who live in that are who do not know Christ. Thank you.
OH By the way.
Merry Christmas.
