Immigration update 1/20/10
Last week we mentioned that we were able to submit our application for visa renewal. When we submitted they told us the interview should be in about 2 weeks and the whole process should be over in about 2 months. Therefore we purchased tickets for March 30th. Monday of this week we went back to check on the interview and now they say… “Um maybe another 2 weeks.” When we told them we had to leave on March 30th they said, “Maybe your renewal will be done by then.” The problem is that we have to get our renewal done and our I card renewed before we leave or we start back at square one with the visas next time. A friend gave us some ideas to try to expedite things, which we did and are now waiting to see what happens. We will be continuing to check on our application and let you know what happens with it. Please be praying for it to move through quicker than they expect.
We did purchase our plane tickets last week. The total cost was worse than planned but we are confident God will provide.
On a happier note we got a box today from some great friends in the States. There are so many things that God has provided for us through the boxes people have sent. God has promised to always provide our needs but I am so grateful to Him for providing way more than just what we need.
