Christmas update 12/30/09
Merry Christmas!
This week we really enjoyed celebrating Christmas with Sam. Last year he was only about 2 weeks old at Christmas and therefore wasn’t really in the mood to open his presents. This year he had received several gifts from afar and really enjoyed opening them and playing with them. Too many more gifts for Sam and we will have to find a bigger house just to hold Sam’s toys!
Another joy this Christmas was on Christmas Eve we made some cupcakes and took them to the tricycle drivers in our subdivision. If you don’t know what a tricycle driver is, just understand they are guys that most people aren’t very friendly too. I have played basketball with several of them and enjoyed getting to know them. So on Christmas Eve we took Sam in his stroller and went and sat down with them and just talked and passed out cupcakes. They really enjoyed Sam and the cupcakes. We get so many beggars coming to our gate this time of year, it was nice to give something to somebody who was not begging.
Thank you for your prayers regarding Sam and discipline. He is doing better now. We had a few days where we fought a real battle of wills, but we prevailed and he has gotten much better about some things. There are many things yet to work on, and with the grace and wisdom of God we will do our best to raise Sam to glorify God.
Please be praying for us as we begin to work on tickets for our furlough. We will be looking into and working on that in the next week.
Here is a link to pics of Sam.
