another immigration update

Last week, immigration gave me a phone number to call to check on the status of our application.  I tried several times but no answer.  So, today I went back to immigration to check on our stuff.  Today is our no drive day so I took a 1.5 hour bus ride.  When I arrived they told me nothing has changed.  They say that by the end of this month it should be "raffled" and we will be given an apt. for an interview.  So in a few days we should know when our interview is.  I did get a different phone number though, and I tried it before I left and at least today they are answering their phone.   So, now I'm back on a bus headed home.  Knowing I've got at least an hour and a half to kill, I'm writing this update on my smart phone again.  Apparently it is a fairly interesting update since the guy next to me keeps waking up and reading it.  Have I mentioned there is no such thing as personal space or privacy here?  Please keep praying for our new visa saga.

A word about our health...

Until last week we thought we were all perfectly healthy, but after some routine tests and checkups a couple of issues came to light.  Please be praying about the financial need that these tests have created, and please be praying especially for Sam as he will be starting a 9 month round of antibiotics because he has been exposed to Tuberculosis .  He does not yet actually have official TB, and he is not contagious, but if not treated he could develop the full thing.  So, for the next 9 months he will take an antibiotic everyday.  TB is rampant here so I guess almost all children end up being treated sooner or later.    They say that once he has been treated he will not need to be treated again unless he has a chest x-ray that shows he has active TB in his lungs.  Please be praying for him and for both of us as well.  Thank you all for your prayers.
